Companions that witness, absorb, and protect.Struby exists between softness and strength. Struby takes the familiar shape of a domestic dog and transforms it into something monumental. The black and white body grounds the piece in reality and vulnerability, while blue and gold adornment draws from ancient Egyptian symbolism -Evoking protection, ritual, and sovereignty.On Playa, Struby exist in two states. Struby is a service animal for epilepsy. Reimagined as an Empress, she represents love as a stabilizing force within the body.This work reflects disruption and return- where care becomes power, and presence becomes protection.
